Bonita Springs-Estero Association of REALTORS® Welcome to Bonita Springs-Estero!

The Mission of the Bonita Springs-Estero Association of REALTORS®, Inc. is to Serve Our Members, Enhance the Professionalism of our Members, Promote an Environment Where Our Members can Prosper, and Contribute to our Community.

WHY BEAR?

The Bonita Springs-Estero Association of REALTORS®, Inc. is a local trade organization of almost 900 REALTOR® and 100 Affiliated industry members.  Part of the National Association of REALTORS®, the largest trade organization in the United States with over 1,200,000 members and Florida Association with 1,333,000 members.  B.E.A.R. provides its more than 1,000 REALTOR® Professionals with a wide range of services designed to empower members of the public through the opportunity to sell or purchase real property.  In addition to BEARS affiliations, it also owns part of the Sunshine MLS and operates the “BEAR Family Foundation” for Charitable Services.

Founded in 1966, BEAR covers a service area of 108 sq. miles from the Lee/Collier line in the south to Alico Road in the north and from Estero Bay in the the west to the Everglades in the east.  The BEAR Association service area contains more new commercial space than any city in the region including both Coconut Pointe and Gulf Coast Town Center mega retail centers.

Why Bonita?

BonitaSprings, Florida is known as the Gateway to the Gulf and the center of the Island Coast. Sand dunes, beaches and the Gulf of Mexico hug Bonita Springs’ western boundary. To the east, tidy neighborhoods and residential communities reach to the borders of flourishing groves and rich farmland.

Strategically poised between two metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs), Fort Myers and Naples, Bonita Springs, Florida has been called the area’s epicenter for commercial development. With commerce comes a wealth of employment opportunities, which encourage new growth. But the balance is secure in this corner of paradise, where family values and precious natural resources remain at the heart of the community’s lifestyle.

Since its founding in 1966, BEAR has built its foundation on strong professional business relations in a small town environment of handshakes and personal relationships.  The incorporated city of Bonita Springs and the unincorporated areas of Lee County know as Estero represents the largest partially developed region of Southwest Florida.  Both residential and commercial real estate growth in this area should equal anything in metropolitan Florida’s finest coastal communities.  Member companies of BEAR expect very successful growth in the decade ahead.  Real Estate companies, agents and related businesses will discover financial opportunities, that will exceed anything seen in the past thirty years.  BEAR continuously  provides its members with state sponsored educational classes for license continuation, for national designations and professional growth programs.  Our Associations big social everts are a time and place.

Attractions and activities abound in Bonita: Golf is a 12-month sport and beaches beckon year-round for shelling, sunning, fishing and boating. Nearby Germain Arena, with its hometown hockey team, the Florida Everblades, as well as top-name performers, beckons indoor sports enthusiasts and fans alike.  Two nearby performing arts centers with professional orchestras host a variety of entertainment, from celebrities and jazz to Broadway and ballet.
